At the 2000 Tour, for time trial races, it was decided to adapt a frame similar to the Giro 00 with specific but not specifically aerodynamic geometries, with the Campagnolo Bora wheel at the front, the Ghibli at the rear, and the specific ITM CX F1 aero handlebar. Curiously, the front derailleur control was on the extension while the rear derailleur control was on the brake lever.
