Mega pro XL boron

Highly appreciated in training and long-distance races, the Mega Pro XL Boron, a true gem in steel, very lightweight at the limit of structural integrity, offered greater comfort compared to aluminum, paying only 300 grams more in frame weight. Excellence and lightness merged in Bianchi's 'Boron' frame, a masterpiece in steel that represented the pinnacle of metal engineering. Constructed with Dedacciai tubes from the EOM 16.5 series, this frame was an exclusive fusion of boron micro-alloyed steel, with low carbon content and high weldability. Subjected to sophisticated heat treatment and the KET (Kinetic Energy Treatment) hardening process, the tubes were reinforced to ensure excellent performance. The precision was such that Dedacciai provided the tubes coloring one end in red, indicating where to cut and where to weld, for flawless assembly. Devoid of internal cable routing and provisions for the derailleur, they were designed to ensure maximum lightness and strength. To protect the frame from potential corrosion, an electrolytic coating was applied, saving up to 50 grams compared to traditional painted frames. In short, the 'Boron' frame represented the pinnacle of steel frames for Bianchi, offering a unique combination of performance and lightness.
